Like many people I've met, Fall is my favorite season of the year. The air is crisp and earthy, and the leaves begin to unleash their explosive color finale. It's time for harvest festivals, apple cider, carving pumpkins and (for me, at least) enjoying a welcome reprieve from the unrelenting heat of a Tennessee summer!
It's also time to make some beautiful photos with your loved ones. Would you like some family photos in a scenic location with lots of different backgrounds to choose from? Whatever the occasion, Fall is a magical time of year to make visual memories. One of my favorite places for taking photographs is Ijam's Nature Center. They boast an expansive 300 acres including many trails, trees, big rocks, decommissioned railroad tracks, and a beautiful quarry lake.
Ijams is a fantastic place for portraits. I am one of only a handful of photographers who have active permits to do professional photography there. Book your Fall photo session today! Appointments are limited, and will fill fast. For guidance on when foliage is predicted to peak, check this fall foliage map. (Even if you don't choose to do a photo session with me, you owe it to yourself and your family to visit Knoxville's urban wilderness!)
